General Notes:
Carried on the family business at Cauldon Place with brother John. The brothers inherited the Bell Works from Uncle George in 1830. This was kept by William, with John retaining Cauldon Place. Their partnership now ended. Partners included Francis Morley (his son-in-law), Leonard Abington, William Wear. Operated 6 factories in Hanley, including Cobden Works, High St Works, Church Bank Works, Broad St Works (later Mason's Ironstone).
Lived @ Prospect Place, Northwood. Chief Bailiff of Hanley 1830.
